That is what you are coming to Our Treehouse for! There is so much to do and see around Noosa North Shore and the surrounding area, and we are sure you will make the most of the opportunity, but just in case you want to just chill out around a pool, do some exercise, eat you fill or have some retail therapy, we have some ideas for you below.
Our Treehouse is set amongst award winning, eco friendly, architect designed homes in the Beach Road holiday homes gated community. The whole community is set in mature bush land which provides great privacy from other properties, never mind the natural beauty of the bush.
If you do want to socialise or have a swim then in the community complex, there is a "Leisure Centre" which offers everything for a family or friends on holiday.
There are lots of opportunities to keep yourself busy, if that is your holiday thing, walking, cycling, horse riding, boating, fishing, surfing and canoeing. All either right on our doorstep or close by.
Nearby is the Noosa North Shore pub which offers a free courtesy bus from the gate, but it is an easy walk away. It has limited opening times outside of peak holiday season (like any good island). Good pub food and wine or beer selection. It's great for the kids with undercover jumping “air pillow" and other games.
Back across on the ferry there are plenty of places to eat well in Tewantin or Noosaville. Gympie Terrace has great restaurants of all types to choose from. We highly recommend the Thai. The Tewantin wharf area has a great Italian, fish and chips.
For unique experiences, but a bit further to drive in Cooroy, there are two excellent restaurants. Circa (modern Italian) and Cooperhead Restaurant & Brewery (our favourite). Or travel to Yandina to the highly acclaimed and recognised Spirit House (allow for a long afternoon if going for lunch). And you must book in advance as these are popular.
It seems like an island getaway once you cross the river on the Tewantin Ferry. Yet it's only a short drive back to the restaurants and shops of both Noosaville or Noosa's famous Hastings Street and Main Beach.
We recommend you bring all your own food supplies. In Tewantin there is a Woolworth's supermarket plus a butcher and a bakery, plus many other stores and coffee shops. BWS & Liquorland have stores in Tewantin, or there is a Dan Murphy's in Noosaville.
There is a general store on the “island", near the pub and one in the beachfront campground. They stock most essentials should you forget anything. They are all at "island" prices. No daily papers or coffee are available in the area.
In Noosaville or on Noosa's Hastings Street and Main Beach you will find all the boutique shopping you desire. With plenty of places to drop-off the non-shoppers for some light refreshments and food.
We hope you enjoy looking around the Our Treehouse site and getting a glimpse at all that our lovely holiay home and the surrounding area offers.
